Safety
Safe for patients. Trusted by care teams.
Nyvora extends your care team. It never replaces clinicians. Here is how we keep patients, staff and data safe.
Clinicians decide. The software follows.
The questions a program asks, the warning signs it listens for and who gets told are clinical choices. Licensed clinicians review and approve every program before it reaches patients.
- 01
Drafted with evidence
We draft each program from published clinical guidelines, with the reason for every choice.
- 02
Reviewed and approved
Licensed clinicians review, edit and approve it. We build exactly the approved version.
- 03
Practiced on test patients
Each program runs on made-up test patients first, so we see every question and alert before anyone real does.
- 04
Locked until approved
A draft program cannot reach real patients. The software blocks it, every time.
A worrying answer always reaches a person.
When a patient or family member says something that needs a nurse, the nurse on call gets their exact words. If nobody answers, a backup is paged.
Checked before every contact
Consent, stop requests and calling hours are checked before every call and text.
Easy to stop
Patients can stop any time by replying STOP or saying so on a call.
Never medical advice
Nyvora listens, writes it down and passes it on. Clinicians decide what to do.
In an emergency
If someone describes an emergency, Nyvora tells them how to get help right away, like calling 911, and alerts the nurse at once.
When a call gets hard.
Some calls are not routine. Here is what happens.
- Someone talks about hurting themselves
- Nyvora offers the 988 crisis line and alerts a clinician the same day, or at once if they are in danger now.
- A family member says the patient has died
- All calls and texts stop right away. Only a person on your team can decide what happens next.
- Medicines don’t match the hospital record
- Nyvora doesn’t guess. It tells the patient their nurse will look, and sends it to the nurse.
- A patient asks what they should do
- Nyvora doesn’t give medical advice. It writes down the question and passes it to the care team.
- A patient says stop
- Every call and text stops at once, and Nyvora confirms it.
What Nyvora never does.
- Give medical advice or change a treatment
- Make up a clinical rule or fill in a missing one
- Contact a patient who asked us to stop
- Leave a worrying answer without a person
- Sell patient data or use it to train general AI models
Every answer shows its work.
AI should be easy to check. Staff can always see why Nyvora did something, and what it was based on.
Numbers from your records
Counts and lists are worked out from your records, never made up by the AI.
Evidence for every patient
Each answer shows which record, or which words, put a patient on a list.
Every action explained
Each call, text and alert is logged with why it happened and what came of it.
Built for patient data.
Your patients’ data is protected at every step, and it stays yours.
A signed agreement first
A Business Associate Agreement (BAA) is signed before any patient data moves.
Encrypted everywhere
Patient data is encrypted while it moves and while it is stored, on a private network.
Walled off per organization
Each organization sees only its own patients. Every request is limited to it.
Access by role
Nurses, clinicians, billing staff and admins each see what their job needs.
A record of every change
Every change to a patient record, and every sensitive action, is logged with who, what and when.
Yours to take back
Never sold. Never used to train general AI models. A full export when you leave.
